Featured Artist: Susan Holben

I am a self-taught artist with a passion for nature, architecture, art and design. I have observed numerous art techniques by attending classes and workshops of professional artists in my home states of Michigan and Utah. 

I began my art career as a Michigan plein air artist with focus on color, composition, and the ever-changing atmosphere. However, my world changed after moving to Utah in 2016. The world became much bigger and brighter! I fell in love with intense colors along with the texture and freedom of applying oil paints with the palette knife, creating exciting color blends and visual movement.     

My art reflects the many aspects of nature, leaning toward contemporary design. I am extremely fortunate to see the world through the eyes of an artist as I hike and travel throughout the Western states and am pleased to share my unique experiences with collectors and enthusiasts alike.
